We are happy to present our MSR stage 4 Brutal Red 2018 engine line with a lot of updates! After many many hours of track time testing we made big improvements in overall powerband and usable rpm on the track! From now on all engines come equipped as standard with red alloy intake manifold, stainless steel carburettor support, internally modified carburettor to our specs, MSR hybrid dual starters with 6mm hex /allen fan nut, MSR zero drag seals, balanced crankshaft, 2 bolt cylinder engines have 4 point fixing screws. Stage 4 modifications (porting is more advanced compared to stage 3, because of different ignition system used, +1500 rpms more). Fully modified, lightened, reshaped and balanced piston with oil grooves and boost holes. Transfers, intake and exhaust port, machined then hand finished to our latest specs. MSR-K1 ignition system with rotor 60mm, cnc made fan 68mm, adjustable ignition mount (4 points), front and rear carbon plates for optimal airflow. Balanced crankshaft to our very tight tolerances. MSR Zero Drag seals. Alloy intake manifold matched to cylinder intake port. Stainless steel carburetor support. Cylinder fixed on 4 points (for 2 bolt engines), no more cracked cylinders. MSR hybrid dual pull starter unit + flywheel nut for 6mm allen/hex key (suitable for MSR hybrid drill starter and Align electric starter). All our engines have serial number and year engraved on 3 positions on cylinder, and crankcase. So we know exactly what porting specifications have been done to the engine, when (if) it was serviced in house and updates done to the engine! Exhaust port raised 0.060 (1.5 mm) and widened by 4 mm on each side. Exhaust spigot matched to cylinder/exhaust port and includes new pipe seal ring. Head cut and reshaped for 1.45 mm squish clearance verified at assembly… Stock squish is 2.5 mm. Transfers and intake ported and matched. Cylinder honed and mic’ed for piston clearance to Wiseco Pro-Lite 90mm kit. Wiseco Pro-Lite (90 mm) piston installed (piston to cylinder clearance = 0.070 mm, Ring gap = 0.55 mm), drilled for exhaust bridge lubrication. All bearing and seals are new throughout motor and pre-lubed. New crankshaft bearings/seals installed. All seals installed to proper depths per Honda spec. (critical for crank seals for proper lubrication to bearings through weep holes in cases). Transmission gears/shafts/thrust washers and all shifter parts REM micro-finished (Isotropic Super-finished) by Evans Performance/ProCryo. All springs and shifter pawls/plungers replaced with new parts. Completely new clutch installed with steel drive plates and 10% stiffer springs (plates pre-soaked in transmission oil). All bolts/hardware replaced with Specbolt NickelWurks. New Honda Cylinder/Head studs installed to factory torque specs. Showe Carbon Fiber reeds installed on stock block and stock boot for best performance. New projected tip NGK BPR8ES plug installed and gap set (0.55 mm). Ignition/stator cleaned and verified with multimeter kick-over spark proven pulse generator to flywheel gap set to factory specs. All ignition contacts/connector pins cleaned with electronics cleaner and inspected (new kill switch included). 14T countershaft sprocket installed with lockwasher. New PWK38 Airstriker carb included and jetted to match the motor as follows: 172 Main, CGK (R1369N) Needle 2nd clip, 50 Pilot, 7.0 Slide, Airscrew 1.75 turns out, float level checked. Entire motor was ultrasonically cleaned before assembly, gasket surfaces matched, and exterior re-finished before assembly. All bolts internal and external set to factory torque specs. (red/blue thread-locker applied only where required). Assembly lube/gear oil used where needed and two-stroke oil pre-lube applied to crank bearings/cylinder/piston. Motor has never been used or run in a bike (factory fresh new build). Transmission and ignition operation verified. All water outlet/inlets plugged with rubber caps. This is because the exhaust manifold will come in contact with the steering column and this can lock the steering if you use tall rubber mounts very scary indeed. My custom made steering spline bar to work alongside 2 x bmw e34 steering uj joints but the e34 ujs are not supplied. These can be made to any length to work on other cars ie e36 or e46 Kit 1 engine bed My custom made engine bed this let’s you run the e36 s50 or e46 s54 original rear loading sump/oil pan and this stops oil starvation but can only be used with the e36 5 stud evo front suspension set up conversions onto an e30 chassis Kit 2 engine bed I do another custom bed to let you keep your original 4 stud suspension or run original e30 m3 5 stud suspension.
