The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, balancer, and flexplate) featured in this engine. 3.750 stroke Forged steel crank. 5.7 New Scat free floating 4340 rods with cap screws for added strength. 10.2 to 1 compression Forged pistons. More special features of this engine include. 500HP version which will require a 3000 stall speed torque converter. It is possible to build this engine with a smaller cam so you can use a smaller or stock stall speed torque converter to have a smoother idle but it will not make as much power. The 500HP version does have a high rise intake manifold so you need to check how much room you have between air cleaner and hood to make sure you have room for the high rise intake. In some cases you can go to a low profile air cleaner to give you more room. Engine can be built with low rise intake but it won’t make as much power. With a High rise intake this engine does not fit applications where hood clearance is a issue such as stock Corvette hoods, Camaro or Chevelle stock hoods. We can supply you a low profile air cleaner at a additional charge. We can supply you with a higher stall speed torque converter at a additional charge. We don’t build engine until we know the following. What vehicle and transmission you have. What will you be doing with vehicle? This engine has a rough muscle car idle. A 3000 stall speed is recommend. You need to run pump premium 91 octane fuel. Do you have room for a high rise intake manifold? Will air cleaner clear hood if we build engine with high rise intake manifold? We refuse to give unrealistic estimated HP numbers to sell engine. Previous built engine was built with Holley double pumper and good breathing headers and made 500HP and 500 lb’s of Torque. Brand New 4 bolt main GM Block has provision for mechanical fuel pump. Engine comes with automatic transmission flexplate – 14 diameter, 168 teeth. We can supply you with a stick shift flywheel at a additional charge. Deck head gasket surface on block to ensure a good seal. New Hydraulic Roller custom ground cam. This Strip/Street cam has a rough muscle car idle and low vacuum so you will need a vacuum canister if you need vacuum for brakes. Works best with 3000 stall speed torque converter. ALUMINUM BMP Blue Monkey Performance heads with 2.02″ Int & 1.600″ Exh valves that have undercut stems and swirl polished for better flow. Hardened exhaust seats for use with both leaded or unleaded fuels. New 1.440 High performance springs set up to match cam. New High temperature positive valve seals.
