1991 Buick Roadmaster/Cadillac Brougham/Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser. 1987 GMC Full-Size Jimmy. Small Block Chevy V8 305ci/5.0L. Head Cast #: 2187. Block Cast #: 627, 058. 1 piece rear main seal. Use conventional or break-in oil (non-synthetic) for the first 600 miles of operation. Do not drive for long periods at any single speed, always vary your speed. Do not tow a trailer or put other heavy loads on the vehicle. Check the engine oil and coolant levels daily. At 600 Miles change the engine oil and filter using conventional (non-synthetic) oil. Check fuel and ignition settings; adjust valves (where applicable). After the first 5,000 of service synthetic engine oil may be used. Follow your vehicle owner’s manual for service intervals. 350/480HP New Chevy block High Perf Full Roller balanced Crate engine Alum head
Ford 351C 4-Bolt Bare Block. 350/480HP Chevy High Performance Full Roller Balanced Crate Engine with ALUMINUM heads. This engine is not in stock. We start with a Brand New 4 bolt main GM block. The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, balancer, and flexplate) featured in this engine. 3.480 stroke steel crank. 5.7 forged rods with ARP bolts. 10.2 to 1 compression Forged pistons. More special features of this engine include. 480HP version will require a 3000 stall speed torque converter. It is possible to build this engine with a smaller cam so you can use a smaller or stock stall speed torque converter to have a smoother idle but it will not make as much power. The 480HP version does have a high rise intake manifold so you need to check how much room you have between air cleaner and hood to make sure you have room for the high rise intake. In some cases you can go to a low profile air cleaner to give you more room. With a High rise intake this engine does not fit applications where hood clearance is a issue such as stock Corvette hoods, Camaro or Chevelle stock hoods. We can supply you a low profile air cleaner at a additional charge. We can supply you with a higher stall speed torque converter at a additional charge. The balanced rotating assembly (typically includes crankshaft, pistons, rings, connecting rods, rod bearings, balancer, and flexplate) featured in this engine. 3.750 stroke Forged steel crank. 5.7 New Scat free floating 4340 rods with cap screws for added strength. 10.2 to 1 compression Forged pistons.
